Doctor Olson has operated with the CO2 laser since 1996. She uses the laser to cut instead of a scalpel. Laser surgery has the advantage of being quicker with less bleeding, bruising and postoperative discomfort. Which means you will look and feel better more quickly. Doctor Olson has been teaching a Laser Surgery course at the national Academy meeting for many years and was awarded a teaching award in 2008.
Doctor Olson has over 15 years experience using CO2 lasers and has instructed other physicians in laser surgery and laser skin resurfacing for the past decade. She was awarded 2009 American Academy of Ophthalmology TEACHING AWARD for her work.
Jane Olson MD, Ophthalmic Facial Plastic Surgery. Doctor Olson is board certified and is fellowship trained as an oculofacial plastic surgeon. She is a fellow of the prestigeous American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) with fewer than 500 fellows nationwide. She was awarded 2009 AAO Teaching Award for her contributions to laser surgery.
